Hartree + Associates Modelmakers was founded in 1992 – an integration of design knowledge and technical skills, with a focus on precision modelmaking. As modelmakers featured in numerous competition and award winning schemes with private, corporate and government clients, our role has been to meet the challenge of
diverse visual and economic constraints unique to each project. Our city workshop is conveniently located and we have gained reputation for producing work of the highest standard of detail and craftsmanship, on time, regardless of budget.
Architectural / planning / topographical
Our services are not only used for persuasion and marketing, but as an integral part of the design strategy. We primarily work with architects and community developers initially testing design options, or in producing a detailed representation of a completed project.
Engineering / display / maritime / museum
With 25 years experience, we have the skills and equipment to produce precision engineering and exhibition models to meet the diverse needs of our clients. Locally our clients include BHP (HBI Plant model amendments) and Shell Australia (Fremantle Depot Model).
Prototype / product design / vacuum casting
As consultant to designers we have assisted in product development, rapid prototyping and concept development models. Recently we have established a Vacuum Casting Department offering extremely competitive rates. We maintain continuous research of cutting edge technologies to compliment our traditional machining and modelling skills.
